Bangkok Weather
The weather in Bangkok is warm at varying degrees year-round and is subject to the tropical monsoon climate.
The cool season, between December and February, sees the highest number of business and MICE tourists traveling to Bangkok. Temperatures during the cool season average about 26C/80F. It does get cooler at night but this season is blessed with wonderful blue cloudless skies for several months and lower humidity. Only a light jacket is needed in the evening.
The cool season is perfect for out-door team building events in Bangkok.
The hot season, between March and May, experiences very little rain and temperature can rise to a 40C/105F. If your meeting and team building event in Bangkok takes place is in a conference room and not outdoor, the hot season is the ideal time to visit Bangkok. You will be rewarded with shorter queues as well as off-season discounts on hotels and air travel.
From May to November is the rainy season. Due to the improved drainage systems, flooding nowadays is rare in Bangkok. Despite the frequency of the rains, they tend not to last for a long time and have a welcome cooling off effect. The rainy season still produces plenty of hot sunny days where the temperature is often well over 30C/85F and there are also long overcast periods. The wettest months are usually July and September. Unless budget is an issue, September and October are probably the least favorable months to travel to Bangkok for your meeting or team building event.
